The network of rural roads in Scotland’s North East makes ideal cycling territory and one of the best ways to experience some of the areas finest scenery. Off road cycling is also excellent in this area and includes former railway trackbeds (the old railway line from Dinnet to Ballater and back will make a good day out) as well as forest and mountain paths
The Deeside Way is a 41 mile cycle path from near the centre of Aberdeen to Ballater, in the Cairngorms National Park, famous for it’s Victorian Heritage and links to Balmoral Castle
Cycles are available at the hotel or can be rented with someone to guide you locally
